About Therapy

What is it like to work with me?

Seeking therapy in today’s world can feel overwhelming. You may be juggling relationships, responsibilities, expectations, and emotions – while quietly wondering if things could feel easier, clearer, or more connected than they do right now.

When you work with me, you’ll find a space where you don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk in. From the moment you sit down, my goal is for you to feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood.

Therapy isn’t about being told what to do. It’s about slowing things down, making sense of patterns, and discovering new ways of relating to yourself and the people you care about.

Our sessions are collaborative and intentional. We’ll talk about what’s happening in your life right now, explore where you may feel stuck, and gently uncover patterns that may be keeping you there. I balance insight with practical tools, so sessions feel meaningful and applicable – not abstract or overwhelming.

Over time, many clients notice:

  • Greater emotional awareness and clarity
  • Improved communication and connection in relationships
  • Increased confidence in setting boundaries and making decisions
  • A more profound sense of balance and self-trust

Whether you’re coming in individually or as a couple, therapy with me is a process of understanding, growth, and steady movement toward a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.

About Keshia Peloubet, MS, LPC

Promoting positive change is my goal.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of KLP Counseling. I’m passionate about helping adults and couples create meaningful, lasting change.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University and my Master’s degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University.

Since 2012, I’ve worked in group practice settings before ultimately deciding to open my own practice, allowing me to offer a more personalized, intentional therapeutic experience.

My work is grounded in building strong rapport and trust. I’ve completed Levels 1 and 2 of the Gottman Method training; I especially enjoy helping couples strengthen communication, rebuild connection, and navigate transitions. I also work with adults who are seeking clarity, emotional balance, and healthier patterns in their lives and relationships.

Outside of my professional work…

I love spending time with my husband, daughter, our two dogs, and the people closest to us. You can often find me playing mahjong, exploring new restaurants, traveling, or building Legos with my daughter.

If you’re looking for a therapist who offers warmth, honesty, and a steady presence, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
